Alex DeForrest is a passionate technology educator and community builder currently on a gap year as an operations engineer in HCB. He's dedicated to democratizing tech education, particularly in underserved communities, through his work at Hack Club and volunteering with organizations like CodeDay. He is also an executive director of HackPNW, the largest high school hackathon in the Pacific Northwest! When not coding or organizing, he explores tech trends, reads law reviews, and volunteers at local food banks, all driven by his mission to leave the world better than he found it.
