Do you think prediction markets do more harm or more good?
4 Hack Clubbers will debate "Do you think prediction markets do more harm or more good?" in <#C0A2BPB7202> on Wednesday, 7pm EDT. I will moderate. Spectators are encouraged, and audience participation is welcome--we have set aside times for audience members to ask questions.
For the purposes of this debate:
- A prediction market is a platform where people can bet on the outcome of future events. By buying and selling shares in the outcomes, participants collectively forecast the likelihood of events such as sports results, political elections, or entertainment awards.
- This debate will primarily concern prediction markets that use _real _money, such as but not limited to Polymarket.
- If a majority of the debaters do not like this definition, this can be changed by Monday 11:59 PM EDT!
